Fractured MMO – Alpha Gameplay & Free Alpha Test Access: 0:20

We’re starting off this week with the first alpha gameplay trailer for Fractured, an upcoming dynamic sandbox-style MMORPG. In addition to showing off the game’s key features and gameplay, Dynamight Studios is also offering anyone who wants in to the current alpha test a free key! All you have to do to join the current alpha round is to register with G.Round and leave a feedback survey after playing. The current alpha test is scheduled to run from August 6th until August 18th, so make sure to check the link in the description below to figure out how to get started.

World of Tanks Update 1.10 Review: 0:55

World of Tanks has launched its biggest update yet – Update 1.10. One of the new things in this update is Equipment 2.0, a system overhaul of the equipment feature that changes the number of slots, consolidates some existing equipment, new equipment categories that grant increased bonuses when put in a matching slot, and makes changes to the costs of equipment and the effect equipment has on low tier vehicles. In addition, the update includes the Polish medium tanks line, the return of the Pearl River map, vehicle rebalancing, improved battle communication systems, and much more.

World of Warships Update 0.9.7: 1:28

In more wargaming news, World of Warships’ German Carriers are now out of beta and available for everyone to begin researching. That’s actually the name of this trailer you see playing here, German Carriers for everyone. These ships have armor-piercing rockets and bombs, fast torpedoes, and carry high-speed aircraft. The new update also includes a German Navy collection, the ability to custom order your consumables, and various other improvements.

VALORANT Act II: 1:54

In some exciting news, Valorant has kicked off its Act 2 Update bringing a bundle of new things to the battle. First up is the newest agent, Killjoy, an inventor with killer tech including a turret, an enemy-seeking bot that adds damage vulnerability, a nanoswarm grenade, and a lockdown that can hold enemies in place for about eight seconds. Meanwhile Raze has gotten a bit of a nerf, Act Ranking is now in place, and Deathmatch mode is now in a beta stage for everyone to check out. Unfortunately this new patch was a bit unstable at first but hopefully by the time you guys see this video, everything is smoothed out. Oh and I’m not gonna lie, the new Glitchpop weapon skins and animations are some of the coolest I’ve ever seen, the trailer is super trippy! Check the entire thing out when you can.

Fortnite: Joy Ride Update: 2:41

If you’re feeling the need for speed, Fortnite has released its new Joy Ride Update this week, adding the first driveable cars to the battle royale. The new cars include the Prevalent – which looks to be a knock off of a Prius – the muscle car Whiplash, the classic Bear truck, and the semi Mudflap. While the keys will be in the ignition, you’ll still need gas to fuel these cars, which you can find at gas pumps, or fuel up with a gas can. You’ll figure it out.

League of Legends: Yone Champion Spotlight: 3:10

As part of the continuing Spirit Blossom Festival, League of Legends has set live a new patch that introduces Yone, Yasuo’s brother, as a new champion in the rift. Yone uses dual blades, with each second attack causing more magic damage, and has increased crit rating with decreased crit damage. He’s a mobile duelist that can slice through carries and head to the back to take out weaker targets. At the very least, he looks cool.

GWENT: Season of the Draconid & Journey #2: 3:36

GWENT is also kicking off a new season this week, though it doesn’t come with flashy new heroes. Part of this seasonal update is an improvement to the automill system along with a usual collection of balance changes. However it also adds a new Journey – your typical kind of Battle Pass – in which you can earn reward points, avatars, ornaments, a weekly story, and Ciri’s legendary neutral leader skin.

Hearthstone: Scholomance Academy Launches: 4:01

Not to be forgotten, Hearthstone has launched its Scholomance Academy, its latest deck expansion. This update includes new dual-class cards, which combine the mechanics and themes of two different classes to shake up the field. It also introduces the new Spellburst keyword and studies cards. Finally every player will get a random Legendary class card from the deck just for logging in, and can complete three different event quests that each grant two packs from this new deck. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

Twin Saga Patch 28: 4:31

Next up in the news, Twin Saga, the free to play anime style MMORPG, is still keeping the summer alive with its latest patch. This patch introduces the seasonal senshi Summer Queen Lenna, a celebration of summer beach parties. I like the sound of that. Speaking of parties, ongoing summer events and firework festivals are live for players to take part in daily. The update also includes the new Shadow Crevice mutated dungeon, more quests added to the main story, and new PvP gear.

Destiny 2: Solstice of Heroes Trailer: 4:57

Meanwhile Destiny 2 has announced its upcoming Solstice of Heroes event, set to begin on August 11th. This free event honors the sacrifices of heroes who have come before. You can join other players in a three-player search of the European Aerial Zone, hunting down treasure chests and taking out bosses. Victories in this event will reward either Solar, Arc, or Void element pieces that you can use to craft and upgrade your armor. There’s even more to this event so make sure to check out the info linked below.

Apex Legends: Season 6 Boosted: 5:24

And in other news, Apex Legends has revealed its trailer for Season 6, set to launch on August 18. This trailer is also epic. It is trending as number 1 on YouTube. The season itself, Season 6 will introduce a new legend, Rampart, along with her gun Sheila… her gun’s name is Sheila… why not? It’s a big gun. It will also introduce a new crafting mechanic, a new energy based SMG, and of course, a Battle Pass to unlock a series of rewards, and ranked updates for the next competitive season. Lot coming to Season 6.

Finally it’s a pretty nice weekend for free deals. Steam is delivering this week Free to play this weekend on Steam are Borderlands 3… that’s a surprise, Street Fighter V, and the Elder Scrolls Online. Those 3 right there are pretty nice! Definitely worth checking those out if you don’t have them already, especially ESO which has just announced it’s gunna be going to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. On the Epic Games Store, your free games are 3 out of 10 Episode 1, that’s the name of the game, a game about the world’s worst game development studio. Watch the trailer, you’ll see what I mean. and Wilmot’s Warehouse, a warehouse-themed puzzle game kinda like overcooked, hmmm… maybe.

But with that being said, that’s about it for all the major news and announcements for this week. Be sure to stay safe, and keep your families healthy!
