PAX Prime 2015 Day 2 Recap
Neverwinter
Neverwinter on the Xbox One is going to have a gigantic update coming with the Sword Coast/Elemental Evil content. There’s an evil cult going around abusing elemental power. No, you don’t go to the “Temple of Elemental Evil” for all you D&D fans out there. But you do travel to powerful nodes for elemental power, and each area is considerably different. The Feywilds bottle you into small clearings to do battle, whereas Icewind Dale is all mountainous, and you can ride and run over basically any hill or outcropping, giving a lot of room to roam and battle. There are lots of new bits and powers coming in this content patch and I was fortunate enough to get an interview with one of their developers. Look forward to Black Ice forging where you can take your awesome raid gear and make it even more powerful. The battles were very clever, and seeing the magical creatures of Faerun come to life really did it for me. Storm Giants, elementals, and much more await with “Elemental Evil!”
