Pirates of the Burning Sea is a 3D pirate themed MMORPG set during the 1720s published by Sony Online Entertainment – the same company behind EverQuest II, Star Wars Galaxies, Vanguard, Free Realms and numerous other MMORPGs. The game is set in the Caribbean where players can align themselves with Spain, France, England or the rogue pirates. The game involves strategic naval combat and a unique port capturing system. The game is quite in depth, but has a steep learning curve. The game’s free trial is 14 days long and has practically no restrictions.
