Realm Royale Coming to Console Next Week
Over four million players have tackled Hi-Rez Studios’ Battle Royale, Realm Royale in its first month on Steam. But the real question has always been, “When is it coming to console?” and fortunately, we finally have an answer. Next week, it’s the console players turn to choose a class and tackle the fantasy battle royale. Closed Beta testing will begin for Playstation 4 and Xbox One next week, but players can sign up for a key right now at the official Realm Royale website. Realm Royale is not your average Battle Royale, and even though 100 players dive from the sky to do battle, each player has a character class, seeks out new abilities and gear. Then they mount up and sally forth in search of ability-driven combat. Once a player is downed, they become a chicken and if they survive long enough, they can get back up and return to battle.
“Since Realm Royale first released on PC, the top three questions on social media have been ‘Console?,’ ‘PS4?,’ and ‘Xbox?,’” said Rory Newbrough, executive producer of Realm Royale.
“I’m not sure if any of those are actually questions, they were more like demands. But we understand our community wants Realm Royale on console, and we’re thrilled to announce console closed beta testing starts next week.”
