World of Warships Blitz Welcomes Alexander Ovechkin

Alexander Ovechkin made his World of Warships debut last year as an ambassador to the franchise. Now he’s in World of Warships Blitz as a commander!  There will be two versions – One for the Soviet ships and one for the American ships. He will be available from February 21st until the 28th, and players will also be able to get “the Great Eight” in a few different ways. Both versions of Commander Ovechkin will be available as part of an event called “Victory Blitz”, where players can earn keys to open special crates.

The American Ovi will be a reward for winning a certain amount of battles, and by earning keys to open crates for free, players will have the chance to get the Soviet variant. In addition to Commander Ovechkin, players will be able to pick up special hockey-themed camo that can be used on the American Tier VIII Battleship, Alabama. There are also opportunities for commanders to add the legendary player to their portraits collection.
