The Elder Scrolls Online Reveals Their Latest Chapter, ‘Elsweyr’

Today, live on Twitch, Zenimax Online Studios announced the next chapter of the Elder Scrolls Online story. Slated to launch in June 2019 is Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr. This Chapter will launch with more content than previous Chapters, including the new zone of Elsweyr, home of the Khajiit. Players can also look forward to a brand new class, the Necromancer! For the first time, Dragons are also coming to ESO, and it will take all of Tamriel’s heroes to do battle with them. This coincides with the year-long “Season of the Dragon” storyline, which will tie all four of 2019’s updates into one massive adventure. Early Access for pre-purchase customers will begin on May 20th, and more info on that can be found on their website. There was also a livestream of the announcement, complete with in-game footage, in the link below.

The new Elsweyr zone adds yet another massive landmass to the ESO world for fans to explore. The home of the Khajiit is laden with moon sugar farms, fertile grasslands, scorching deserts, and palatial cities as well as a host of new monsters and enemies. Elder Scrolls veterans may recall exploring the province of Elsweyr in The Elder Scrolls: Arena as well as its outer edges in The Elder Scrolls Online’s regions of Reaper’s March and Khenarthi’s Roost. What else can you look forward to in Elsweyr?

Elsweyr Features:

  • A gigantic new zone, Elsweyr, similar in size and scope to last year’s Summerset zone

  • An epic main story quest line with around 30 hours of new adventures that ties into the Season of the Dragon, plus tons of new side quests and exploration

  • A powerful new Class: The Necromancer, the most requested addition from the community

  • A challenging new 12-player Trial: Sunspire
