Nexon Releases Global MapleStory Classic World Gameplay Trailer

While there is no official release date for the upcoming classic world for MapleStory, we do have a new gameplay trailer from Nexon. Given the rising popularity of classic servers in practically every MMORPG from World of Warcraft to EverQuest to Ragnarok Online, it’s wild to see that there isn’t an official classic version of MapleStory yet.

Then again, the regular version of MapleStory is still massively successful. The game’s playerbase outside of South Korea has continued to increase. On Steam alone the game averages over 10,000 concurrent players, which is up significantly over the years.

Those interested in testing MapleStory classic and who live near Los Angeles can sign up for an in-person, limited-time test. Slots to test the game in person run until February 13. Players can book their spot on Nexon’s site.
