Diablo Immortal Kicks Off Diablo’s 30th Anniversary With Free Armor and Mirrored Jewels

Diablo Immortal is starting its Diablo 30th anniversary celebration with a free armor cosmetic, a month of Mirrored Jewels events, and a batch of update changes arriving globally by Wednesday, July 29.

The free armor set is inspired by the Immortal King Barbarian armor from Diablo II: Resurrected. Players can claim it once per character, so you’ll want to log in on the class you actually want to dress up. The cosmetic unlock is tied to the character that claims it.

  • Four Mirrored Jewels events will run back to back from July 29 through August 26.
  • The event lets players use Crests for a shot at better Legendary Gem rewards.
  • Returning events will rotate weekly, starting with Survivor’s Bane, then Trial of the Hordes, Fractured Plane, and Wild Brawl.
  • A new toggle will stop some skills from overriding cosmetics, including Wrath of the Berserker and Shield of Zen.
  • Transform skills can still override cosmetics, such as turning into a Werebear.

The update also includes class and balance changes, plus some quality-of-life adjustments for players running content below the recommended Paragon level. Blizzard says experience and gold penalties should be less harsh, and difficulty selection will show those adjustments more clearly.

Combat rating requirements are also being adjusted for several activities in Inferno XIII and Inferno XIV. Blizzard says more anniversary content is coming next month, including changes tied to Baal. The full rundown is in the patch notes.
