EVE Online’s Fractured Skies Expansion Starts the Road to Conquest on 10 November

EVE Online’s Fractured Skies expansion launches on 10 November, kicking off a two-month lowsec Factional Warfare campaign built around newly surfaced artifacts. Capsuleers can back one of the four empires even if they aren’t enlisted in Factional Warfare, with Amarr facing Minmatar and Caldari facing Gallente.

The campaign feeds into a mid-January live event, then into the first Conquest in February. Campaign work includes hacking, mining, fighting NPCs, and damaging enemy players in Factional Warfare space. Turning in faction campaign items will pay out ISK and Loyalty Points, while completed objectives unlock empire-wide bonuses that activate on 5 January and remain in place until Conquest begins.

  • Four navy attack battlecruisers are being added to Factional Warfare LP stores: Naga Navy Issue, Tornado Fleet Issue, Oracle Navy Issue, and Talos Navy Issue.
  • The Naga Navy Issue is the big standout, swapping hybrid turrets for cruise missile and torpedo launchers.
  • Synchronizer Rigs arrive as a new rig type, with nine faction sets across empire and pirate groups. They get stronger when fitted alongside matching faction modules.
  • EVE Vanguard goes 24/7 in a paid Alpha through the EVE launcher, separate from EVE Online Omega status.
  • Vanguard contracts will affect EVE Online by increasing special campaign sites in highsec and lowsec, giving ground players a direct role in the wider empire conflict.
  • The first version of EVE’s updated HUD enters Feature Preview as an opt-in test, with changes to speed controls, capacitor readability, heat indicators, and module state clarity.

Fractured Skies also adds some help for newer players. Exordium Starter Space is getting free, pre-fitted AIR Academy ships for combat, exploration, and mining, though they can only be used inside Exordium and can’t be reprocessed. The AIR Career Program is also moving into the Achievements system, adding nearly 80 achievements and career completion titles.

CCP is also refreshing dozens of popular level-one security missions with clearer objectives and cleaner overviews, while several ships are getting balance changes. Carriers will get better light fighter application through the Integrated Sensor Array, some Heavy Assault Cruisers and Assault Frigates are being adjusted, and strategic cruisers are getting targeted improvements. Defender missiles should also become more useful against bombs.

The full expansion notes are due on 6 November, with Fractured Skies itself arriving on 10 November.
