Diablo Immortal’s Bloodied Jewel Update Adds the Warlock and Lut Gholein
Diablo Immortal’s next major update, The Bloodied Jewel, launches next week, with Blizzard putting the new Warlock class at the center of the release. It’s the game’s 10th class, built around demon-summoning, portals, and other forbidden magic tied to the Vizjerei.
According to Blizzard’s official post, the update also brings players to Lut Gholein, the Diablo II port city now under demonic pressure from Andariel. The Common Ward will be open as a new subzone, with bounties, wanted monsters, demons, docks, ruined homes, and other areas to fight through. Some parts of the city will stay locked for now.
The Bloodied Jewel is also the name of the new main quest, which digs further into the Vizjerei’s old experiments and the fallout still spilling into Sanctuary. Blizzard says the quest will include familiar faces from Diablo II, though the preview doesn’t lay out the full cast.
- The Warlock joins as a demon-focused class using dark powers, summons, and portals.
- Lut Gholein returns as a new zone, starting with the Common Ward.
- New Helliquary challenges arrive in the Aranoch Desert, including Gulakht, Shackled Maw, and Yradus.
- A new Legendary Gem, Hellbound Desire, boosts damage and movement speed, adds Soul Shard effects to enemies, and can reduce enemy buff duration.
- The update will also refresh the Legendary Essence pool, adjust Set item pools, and make Paragon level changes.
Blizzard is also lining up a deeper look at the Warlock before the update lands. For now, the big takeaway is pretty simple: Diablo Immortal is getting a new class, a classic Diablo location, and another round of endgame and item changes in one patch.
