Soulframe’s Gods & Ghosts Update Adds Trading and Better Weapon Drops

Soulframe has rolled out Preludes 15, titled Gods & Ghosts, with a handful of practical changes for players already in the action fantasy game’s early access build. The big one is Trading, which is now available to all players, though you’ll need two-factor authentication through EnvoyGuard turned on first.

According to the official patch notes, players can trade non-unique items at Enclaves or World Trees, including weapons, armor, talismans, joineries, and more. Leveled items will adjust to the player’s current level, so trades won’t simply bypass progression.

  • Weapons found in the world can now roll with properties like quality, innate abilities, and location-based modifiers.
  • Players can refine weapons by crafting new Chordstones with Tuvalkane.
  • Helping Omen Beasts and Ancestors can lead to extra boons if you run into them later in the wild.
  • Totems have been reworked around Runes and Smites, with passive effects or triggered effects tied to those abilities.
  • The update also adds new and updated enemies, more weapon types, and a new Siege.

The weapon changes sound like the most noticeable shift moment to moment. Instead of treating dropped weapons as filler on the way to crafting, Gods & Ghosts gives players more reasons to check what they find out in the field, then build on it if the roll looks useful.

Preludes 15 is live now for Soulframe players. Digital Extremes had previewed several of these features ahead of the patch, but the full notes break down the trading rules, item changes, and combat system tweaks in more detail.
