Path of Exile 2 Patch 0.5.2 Reworks Delirium, Runes of Aldur Rewards, and Endgame Atlas Options

Path of Exile 2’s 0.5.2 patch is live, bringing a broad round of endgame tuning, reward changes, monster damage reductions, and bug fixes. The patch is especially relevant for players pushing Delirium encounters, Runes of Aldur content, and Atlas progression.

The biggest practical change is that several rough edges in endgame content should feel less punishing. Delirium enemies in the Fog have had some of their scaling cut down, while a long list of bosses and monster skills now deal less damage. Runes of Aldur rewards also got a pass, particularly in higher-tier maps.

  • Delirium Unique enemies now gain half as much Toughness in the Fog, while Normal, Magic, and Rare enemies gain half as much increased damage.
  • Remnant Encounters in Tier 14 maps and above now have improved rewards, with many weaker 3-slot runic inscriptions removed or made rarer at higher tiers.
  • Every Ocean section revealed by an Expedition Logbook is now guaranteed to include at least one Grand Expedition.
  • A new On the Wind Keystone Atlas Passive lets players choose between faster Azmeri Spirits or Spirits that no longer dematerialise when players are away.
  • Controller players now get a quick-action menu on the Endgame Map by holding X or Square.
  • The Mortuary Map can now let players replace a Limb after the map boss fight, similar to Atziri’s Temple.

Monster balance is a major part of the patch. Siora, Blade of the Mists has longer wind-ups and lower damage on several attacks, Jamanra, the Abomination has around 17% less life, and a number of Ritual, Abyss, Breach, Delirium, and Runic monster attacks have been toned down. The patch also fixes Trials of the Sekhemas turret fireballs creating an invisible area explosion on collision.

There are some smaller but useful progression fixes too. Farrow can now be invited to hideouts in Runes of Aldur leagues, Runesmithing Knowledge interactables now have quest markers, and Journey to the East gives clearer direction. Devour also can’t consume living players anymore, which Grinding Gear apparently felt needed the reminder: “Liches are friends, not food.”

The bug fix list is long, but highlights include fixes for The Runeseeker quest on second characters, Pinnacle Boss Unique drops not being allocated to the map owner, Swift Alloy and Warding Rune of Nourishment not appearing as rewards, non-English clients failing to search Unique items on the in-game market, and An Audience with the King missing from the Currency Exchange. The patch also fixes three client crashes and four instance crashes.
