RuneScape’s Moonrise Dig Site Opens June 15 With Mid-Level Archaeology Rewards
RuneScape is adding a new Archaeology dig site called Moonrise on June 15 as part of the Havenhythe update. The site is aimed at mid-range Archaeology players, with new materials, artefacts, mysteries, rewards, and a cosmetic pet tied to its story.
Players will need to finish the Secrets of Amberfell quest before starting Moonrise, since the dig site continues threads from Havenhythe and the Sanguine threat. The entry requirement is level 52 Archaeology. The temple exterior covers levels 52 to 75, while the interior is built for levels 82 to 88.
According to the official post, Moonrise introduces a new material called Guthixian, five materials in total, and a new soil type. There are also 15 artefacts spread across two collections, plus five mysteries focused on the site’s fallen civilization and the guardian still watching over it.
On the reward side, one completed collection can be used with Expensive Spices to make a new relic, Hungry Like the Wolf. The relic improves food use in combat by increasing healing and removing adrenaline penalties. Players will also be able to gather materials in the temple interior for a new Necromancy Ritual Ring.
Solving Moonrise’s mysteries will also point players toward a new cosmetic pet, described as a divine guardian similar to the one found at the temple.
