Zenless Zone Zero 2.7 arrives March 24 with a new tournament, two S-Rank agents, and event updates

HoYoverse has set Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7, Champions Never Fall to the Past, for March 24. The update is built around the Hollow Champion competition, a new tournament storyline in New Eridu that pulls in familiar factions, some less expected entrants, and a new boss fight against Black Wolf Romeul.

According to the official post, Version 2.7 also adds two new S-Rank agents: Cissia, an Electric Attack character from the Metropolitan Order Division, and Nangong Yu, an Ether Stun agent tied to Angels of Delusion. Returning S-Rank agents for the patch are Yidhari and Seed.

On the gameplay side, Romeul looks like the big fight to watch. He can put up a Corruptive Barrier that boosts his crit damage resistance and interruption resistance while draining player HP over time. HoYoverse says teams built around sustained Anomaly damage will be better at breaking through it, so that may shape how players approach the encounter.

Cissia’s kit revolves around stacking Venom for extra Electric damage and crit rate, then cashing those stacks in with a stronger Basic Attack. Nangong Yu leans more toward setup and team support, extending enemy Stun time, helping build Stun and Anomaly faster, and giving the whole squad an Attack boost with her Ultimate.

Outside the main banner additions, 2.7 also brings a hot pot-themed event at Simmer Hot Pot Restaurant in Lumina Square, plus a relay-style combat mission from HSOS 6 that uses three two-character squads. The Simulated Battle Trial is getting refreshed too, with new enemy lineups, extra bonus mechanics, and updated leaderboard rewards that include Polychromes, a namecard, and exclusive titles.

Zenless Zone Zero is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android.
