WoW Midnight’s Eclipse Update Adds Mantle Vault, Worldcore Raid, and Wrath Remix Is Next
Blizzard outlined what’s coming after World of Warcraft: Midnight’s launch during its BlizzCon 2026 “What’s Next” panel, with the Eclipse update taking the spotlight. Eclipse is being billed as the final major content update for Midnight, sending players into the Mantle Vault and toward an eight-boss Worldcore raid against Xal’atath and the Devouring Host.
Before that, content update 12.1.5 is on the PTR. It continues the Kith’ix storyline with a new campaign called “The Promise of Tomorrow,” a single-boss raid named The Unbinding of Kith’ix, the Labyrinths activity, an Aqir Invasion outdoor event, and a mid-Season 2 refresh through Ascendant Venomstones.
Eclipse adds the Mantle Vault, a hidden Titan-made zone populated by the Thraegar, described as crystalline, dwarflike allies. Players will also run into the Deepskar Empire, a subterranean coalition made up of groups like kobolds, troggs, drogbar, and niffen.
- The Worldcore is an eight-boss raid featuring void enemies, Titan constructs, living Azerite, and Xal’atath.
- Midnight’s Edge, a new Legendary caster dagger, comes from the Worldcore raid, though beating the raid is only part of unlocking it.
- The Gearhold is a new lair with Noctinaxx, an azerite bat boss, available on World, Normal, Heroic, and flexible Mythic difficulties.
- Thraegar’s Stand is a new three-boss dungeon and will be part of the Season 3 Mythic+ pool.
- Forsaken, Night Elf, and Troll characters will be able to become Paladins in Eclipse.
Season 3 starts shortly after Eclipse launches. Its Mythic+ rotation includes The Underrot, Iron Docks, Sanguine Depths, The Stonecore, Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr, Magisters’ Terrace, Maisara Cavern, and Thraegar’s Stand. Blizzard is also changing high-end Mythic+ rewards so the top 1% and top 5% are based on specialization rankings rather than the full Mythic+ player pool.
Delves are getting more as well, including a higher level cap, new Curios, new variants, and a new Nemesis named Astalor Bloodsworn. Eclipse also adds Agony Mode as the final Prey difficulty, plus a Mantle Vault outdoor feature called Radiant Screams.
Housing gets another pass with showcases, Visitor Codes, mannequins for unlocked appearances, copy-paste and multi-select tools, and the option to buy extra copies of owned décor while inside a home. Blizzard also noted that content update 12.2.5 will remove armor-type restrictions from transmog.
Finally, the next WoW Remix event is Wrath of the Lich King Remix, sending players back to Northrend. Blizzard confirmed the theme during the panel, but did not give a firm date in its official recap.
