WoW: Midnight Class Tuning Hits Feral Druid, Fire Mage, Subtlety Rogue, and More on October 27
World of Warcraft: Midnight is getting another class tuning pass with scheduled weekly maintenance on October 27, with changes split between regular gameplay and PvP. The PvE side mostly brings targeted buffs, though Subtlety Rogue is taking a notable hit after Blizzard says a previous buff went too far.
For non-PvP content, Feral Druid and Fire Mage are both getting a flat 5% damage increase. Restoration Druid is also getting dungeon-focused healing buffs, including Verdancy up 60%, Regrowth up 10%, and Improved Swiftmend raising Swiftmend healing by 40% instead of 30%.
- Marksmanship Hunter is getting stronger AoE, with Trick Shots ricochet damage increased to 85%, plus 10% buffs to Explosive Shot and Volley.
- Subtlety Rogue damage is being reduced by 8% across all abilities. Trickster’s Fazed bonus is also dropping to 5%, down from 7%.
- Affliction Warlock’s Unstable Affliction is going up 20%, while Destruction Warlock’s Rain of Fire is also getting a 20% damage increase.
PvP tuning is a wider sweep. Fire Mage, which Blizzard says is still overperforming, is getting a 5% overall damage reduction in PvP. Unholy Death Knight’s San’layn Vampiric Strike is also being cut by 20% in PvP.
Several underused or weaker PvP options are being pushed up. Marksmanship Hunter gets buffs to Kill Shot, Deathblow activation, and Dark Ranger’s Black Arrow. Frost Mage’s Frostfire talents are getting more burst through Isothermic Core and Duality. Preservation Evoker’s Chronowarden, Mistweaver Monk’s Conduit of the Celestials, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest’s Archon setup, Assassination Rogue’s Deathstalker talents, and Restoration Shaman totems are also receiving PvP healing or damage increases.
The changes are scheduled to arrive with the weekly reset, so players should see the new numbers after maintenance completes in their region.
