Diablo IV Patch 3.2.4 Raises Prime Evil Splinter Stack Size to 99
Blizzard has posted Diablo IV patch 3.2.4, a small update dated October 28, 2026, for all platforms. The main change is simple but useful for Season 15 players: Prime Evil Splinters now stack up to 99 instead of being limited to one per type.
Prime Evil Splinters are tied to Season of Hell’s Legacy and are used to gain Prime Evil Powers. Before this patch, a character could only hold one Splinter of each type at a time.
The patch is Build #74043 and also includes “various stability, visual, and UI improvements,” though Blizzard didn’t list specific fixes beyond that.
This follows patch 3.2.3 from October 14, which fixed a seasonal progression issue where players could use a Splinter before finishing the Seasonal questline. That bug could block the affected character from completing the questline and gaining Prime Evil Powers. Blizzard noted at the time that the fix prevents the issue going forward, but doesn’t reset quest progress for characters already stuck.
For those affected, Blizzard’s workaround is still to make a new character in the same partition, (Normal/Hardcore and Normal/SSF) and complete the seasonal questline there. Doing so unlocks Prime Evil Powers for all characters in that partition.
Separately, Diablo IV’s 3.3.0 public test realm for Season 16 is scheduled to begin October 27.
