The First Descendant 1.4.6 Buffs Freyna, Tweaks Ultimate Gley, and Fixes Xbox Freezes
The First Descendant patch 1.4.6 is live as of October 22, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. PDT on Steam, Xbox, and PS5. Nexon says players should reconnect to get the latest version, which focuses on Descendant balance changes, Cradle of Evolution adjustments, Trials fixes, and a handful of Xbox-specific stability problems.
The biggest gameplay changes hit Freyna and Ultimate Freyna. Several of her damage-over-time effects have been doubled, including Panic, Decay, Nightmare, Despair, and Toxic Reaction across default skills and multiple Transcendent Modules. Toxic Haze can now apply Room 0 Trauma through Neurotoxin Synthesis, and some Hypersensitivity interactions have been expanded for Unique Weapon play.
Ultimate Gley also gets changes, though they’re more of a reshuffle. Demonic Modification now fires faster, going from 120 rounds per minute to 157, while its explosion damage multiplier has been reduced. The True Aim scaling on explosion damage has been raised, and the tooltip has been cleaned up to show the effect more clearly. Explosive Life can now generate up to 20 Life Spheres instead of 10.
- Cradle of Evolution now has slightly faster monster spawns, adjusted spawn locations, more melee enemies, and better Commander crystal rewards.
- If a Cradle of Evolution Combat Zone ends before the essence extraction target is met, a portal now lets players move straight to the next zone.
- Trials difficulty now adjusts when squad size changes during a run, and the daily dungeon rotation is resuming at 12:00 a.m. PDT.
- The Prepping in the Dark Trigger Module no longer has an 18-second cooldown.
- The Trade Market statistics page on the official site now includes Transcendent Weapon stats and lounge storage trade history.
The patch also fixes a long list of issues across Descendants, content, UI, and equipment. Notable ones include Freyna’s Room 0 Trauma damage being applied twice, cooldown bugs on several Ultimate Tier Firearm Modules, broken portals in Trials: Protocol 001, and multiple Onslaught Stage 5 problems.
Xbox players get two platform-specific fixes: one for the Grappling Hook attaching to unintended spots, and another for intermittent game freezes. There’s also a Photo Mode camera fix for certain areas of Albion.
