WoW Forever Beta Cap Increased Again After Queue Bug Fix
Blizzard has raised the population cap for the World of Warcraft: Forever closed beta again, as demand continues to push the test’s server limits.
Executive producer Holly Longdale said the team “had to increase” the beta cap once more. The test has been busy since it went live, with players running into queues and capacity limits as more invitees try to get in.
Blizzard also says it has fixed a separate login issue tied to disconnects. Some players were getting stuck in a queue after being kicked or dropped from the game, and the team later found a bug that was incorrectly filling the queue. A fix has now been deployed.
There’s no word yet on another invite wave, a higher level cap, or an open beta date. For now, Forever remains in closed beta ahead of its planned November 4, 2026 launch, with Blizzard continuing to scale capacity while players stress-test the Classic-rooted MMO.
