RuneScape: Dragonwilds Hotfix Pulls Edit Appearance While Jagex Works on Save Recovery
Jagex has rolled out RuneScape: Dragonwilds hotfix 1.0.0.5, live as of September 25, 2026, with a heavy focus on stability after the game’s full launch earlier this month.
The biggest issue is save corruption, affecting both world and character saves. Jagex says it’s still testing ways to recover missing saves, so those fixes aren’t included yet. For now, the Edit Appearance button has been removed because it was tied to one of the common corruption triggers. The studio also noted that some restored saves may have had their world settings reset, meaning Custom or Creative worlds could show up in the Normal save list.
The hotfix also tackles several multiplayer problems, including connection failures in worlds with more than two players and Xbox clients being unable to join some two-player worlds. Console players joining modded dedicated servers should no longer risk corrupting their player saves, either.
- Fixed multiplayer connection issues involving three or more players.
- Stopped console joins to modded dedicated servers from corrupting player saves.
- Fixed Scorned Wilderness Raid AI respawn issues and a respawn-point skip bug.
- Fixed Abyssal Whip recipe unlocks for existing characters.
- Fixed a PS5 crash tied to crossplay passwords.
- Added DLSS and FSR upscaling on Windows and Xbox Game Pass.
There are a few smaller quality-of-life changes in the mix, too. Players can now destroy or store Primordial Hearts, Imbued Granite Maul Heads, and Chinchompa Skulls. Luminite ore can be crafted into Divine Rocks, and Summon Shelter is now available in the Scorned Wilderness hub.
Console certification for the same build is expected to take several days. Jagex is also already pointing to a follow-up 1.0.1 patch for a crash that can happen when disconnecting to Play Online, plus unintended keybind remapping. A broader Dragonwilds roadmap is planned for RuneFest the following weekend.
