World of Warcraft’s Patch 12.0.7 adds a fourth Midnight raid with Sporefall
World of Warcraft is getting another raid in Midnight sooner than expected. Patch 12.0.7 will add Sporefall, a new single-boss raid set in Harandar, giving the expansion a fourth raid instead of stopping at the three planned for launch.
Sporefall is built for groups of 15 to 25 players and centers on one fight against Rotmire, a fungal giant tied to the fungarians in the area. Blizzard hasn’t shared much more than that in the snippet so far, but the setup is pretty straightforward: one boss, one arena, and a new stop for raid groups once the patch goes live.
That makes Sporefall a bit different from WoW’s usual raid cadence. Single-boss raids aren’t unheard of, but they’re not the norm either, and dropping one in a .0.7 patch gives Midnight a little more endgame content between bigger releases.
If you haven’t been following Midnight closely, it’s the next WoW expansion, and Harandar is one of its featured zones. Based on what’s been announced here, Sporefall looks like a compact side raid rather than a full multi-wing tier.
There’s no release date for Patch 12.0.7 in the source yet, and Blizzard also hasn’t outlined loot, difficulty details, or encounter mechanics. For now, the big takeaway is simple: Midnight is getting an extra raid, and it’s a one-boss fight against Rotmire.
