Papaya Play’s Tree of Savior server will shut down on June 16

Papaya Play is closing its version of Tree of Savior on Tuesday, June 16. That only applies to the Papaya-operated global server, not the separate version still run by developer IMCGames.

If you haven’t kept up with the game’s publishing setup, there have been two global variants of the MMOARPG for a while now. The IMCGames version is continuing on, while Papaya Play’s service is being taken offline.

That distinction matters because Tree of Savior has had a split presence outside Korea, with different operators handling different releases. So this isn’t the end of the game as a whole, just the end of one publisher’s version.

This should be a net benefit for the game as players will consolidate onto a single now larger version of the game.
