World of Warcraft: Midnight early access starts Feb. 26, full launch set for March 2

World of Warcraft’s next expansion, Midnight, is rolling out in stages. Early access begins Thursday, Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. EST for players who own the Epic Edition, while everyone else gets in at the worldwide launch on Tuesday, March 2, according to Blizzard’s announcement.

If you’re jumping in after a long break (or starting fresh), Blizzard also posted a couple of refresher guides this week aimed at new players and returning players. They’re basically meant to get people oriented before the expansion rush hits.

On the gameplay side, Blizzard is continuing to spotlight the Demon Hunter’s new Devourer specialization, which it says went live back in Patch 12.0. If you’re planning to main a Demon Hunter in Midnight, that’s one of the bigger class-related changes already on the table.

And for players who care more about cosmetics than leveling speed, Blizzard also previewed March’s Trading Post lineup. The theme is “live, laugh, love,” and the items include quilt-style “flying carpets,” an Elaborate Ruby Mageweave outfit, Blood Monarch wings, and a set of Night Elf weapon appearances via the Trading Post preview.

Blizzard also dropped a “Midnight Story So Far” trailer alongside the launch ramp-up, for anyone who wants a quick catch-up before heading into the new expansion.
