The Elder Scrolls Online Lines Up August PvP Events, Free Crates, and Update 51 PTS

The Elder Scrolls Online has a busy August calendar, with Bethesda’s 40th anniversary rewards, a couple of PvP-focused events, and the first public test for Update 51 all coming up.

Players can claim 2,000 Trade Bars for Bethesda’s anniversary and spend them in the Gold Coast Bazaar, with the offer and an anniversary sale both ending August 13. ZeniMax has details on how to claim them in the official post.

  • Sheogorath Takes a Holiday is already live, sending players through a cheese-themed questline with rewards tied into Golden Pursuits milestones through August 12.
  • Update 51 is scheduled to hit the PC/Mac PTS on August 3, ahead of its newly dated September 28 release.
  • Whitestrake’s Mayhem returns August 5-12, bringing back ESO’s recurring PvP event.
  • A Deathmatch Battleground Spotlight mini event follows from August 19-26 for players who want more Battlegrounds action.
  • The next Golden Pursuits campaign, Straight to the Crate, runs August 20 through September 17 and will offer up to 20 free crates for completing in-game activities.

More specifics on the Straight to the Crate rewards and activity list are still coming. For now, the main thing to note is that August is stacked toward short-term rewards and PvP, while Update 51 starts its testing cycle before arriving later in September.
