Ragnarok Origin: Classic Opens Americas Server July 23 With Twitch Drops and Guild Pre-Creation

Ragnarok Origin: Classic launches its Americas server on July 23, with guild pre-creation already open ahead of the rollout. The classic-styled Ragnarok Online spin is being pitched around guild play, PvE grinding, MVP hunts, and GVG battles, with an emphasis on cutting back cash-shop power advantages.

The team says Ragnarok Origin: Classic won’t sell balance-breaking stats and will instead use a Monthly Pass model. That’s the big selling point here for returning Ragnarok players who bounced off later versions because of heavier monetization and stat chasing.

There’s also a competitive angle at launch. Tyr Cup Global, a worldwide guild tournament, is set to run with a total prize pool of $1 million. The Americas region accounts for $320,000 of that amount, according to the announcement.

Players can also start earning launch rewards through Twitch Drops. Watching eligible Ragnarok Origin: Classic streams can unlock limited-time items, including a costume and mount. Details are listed on the official Twitch Drops page.

Guild pre-creation is live now, so groups looking to claim names and organize before the July 23 launch can start setting up early. More launch details are available through the game’s official website.
