Blue Archive Adds Tsuchinoko Event Story, New Students, and Double Reward Campaigns

Blue Archive has rolled out its new “Kivotos’ Unsolved Mystery: In Search of Tsuchinoko, the Unknown Creature” update on Steam, iOS, and Android. The update adds two new 3-star students, Konoka and Rena, alongside a limited-time event story, returning pick-up students, raid content, and double reward campaigns.

The new event follows Konoka as she sets out to find the legendary cryptid Tsuchinoko after getting hit with a bad fortune. Sensei, Rena, and Tsubasa join the trip to an isolated mountain lodge, where the group runs into fake rumors, delinquent ambushes, and some less-easy-to-explain supernatural trouble. Clearing the event story, quests, and challenges can earn players Pyroxene, Credit Points, and other rewards.

Konoka is a Mystic-type tank built for the frontline. Her EX Skill hits enemies in a fan-shaped area, and she can recover health while taking damage during the skill’s activation. Rena, from Wild Hunt Academy of Arts, is an Explosive-type supporter. Her EX Skill removes one harmful debuff from an ally, raises Defense, and can boost Critical Damage and Attack Power for Special students.

The update also brings back Hare (Camp), Kotama (Camp), Maki (Camp), and Misaki as pick-up recruitment students.

On the raid side, Final Restriction Release: Tiphareth (Elastic Armor) runs from July 21 at 7:00 PM through August 17 at 11:59 PM PST. Total Assault: Goz (Field Warfare) follows from July 27 at 7:00 PM through August 3 at 11:59 PM PST, with clear rewards, total point rewards, and rank rewards available after defeating the boss.

Nexon is also running double reward campaigns. Bounty double rewards are available from July 20 at 12:00 PM through July 27 at 11:59 PM PST, while Mission (Normal) double rewards run from July 27 at 12:00 PM through August 3 at 11:59 PM PST.
