Neverwinter’s Tempus Arena: The Slaughterhouse update adds Celestial Insignias and new arena bosses

Neverwinter’s latest update, Tempus Arena: The Slaughterhouse (Module 32.5), is live with a new top-end Insignia tier, some Cleric balance work, and a beefed-up version of the Tempus Arena. The headline addition is Celestial Insignias, plus system tweaks meant to keep the upgrade path from getting even more expensive than it already is.

According to the official post, Celestial Insignias come with changes to Insignia Powder costs. The Powder required per quality is lower, and the idea is that upgrading from Mythic to Celestial should cost the same as upgrading to Mythic did before. Dust values aren’t changing, so dusting a Celestial Insignia returns 1500 Insignia Powder. The update also allows Mythic mounts to be upgraded to Celestial.

If you’re juggling multiple characters, there’s a new option through the Rewards Claim Agent: you can convert Celestial Insignias into a reclaimable version that other characters on your account can claim. That conversion needs Celestial Essence, which can currently be earned through dungeons, Trials (Shackles of Divinity and Soul Harvest), the Appointment Store, and the Zen store. The devs also say more sources may be added later.

On the class side, Cleric is first up for a rebalance pass. Arbiter is getting some changes, but Devout is where most of the tweaks landed this time. The update notes also frame these as part of broader class work, and not necessarily the final word.

As for the arena itself, The Slaughterhouse version of Tempus Arena adds 10 new bosses and 10 new enemy waves, with the possibility of an extra boss. Buffs have been adjusted too: previous passive buff values were upgraded, and you’ll now get active buffs every five rounds. There are also Challenge rounds where you fight three bosses at once, with an “ultimate” passive power-up for the rest of the run if you make it through.

Finally, the update brings a longer battle pass (including a new pet) and a temporary campaign, Tempus’ Blood Track, built around collecting blood shards for weekly rewards.
