Neverwinter Module 34 Reworks Normal Queue Rewards and Seal Stores on November 17
Neverwinter’s Module 34, Sleeping Gods Lie, is set for November 17, and Cryptic is using the update to smooth out the gear climb after level 20. The big changes are aimed at Normal Random Queue rewards, the Seal of the Dragon store, and a new Seal of the Ancient Dragon store for players moving into Advanced content.
The studio says the details come from a test version, so some numbers or rewards could still change before launch. Normal Random Queues will drop a wider spread of catch-up gear, including items that previously pushed players toward older campaigns or the Auction House.
- Mount and Companion drops remain, with increased drop rates for both.
- Rare Enchantments, Epic Artifacts, Neck and Waist items, and Companion Equipment are being added to Normal Random Queue rewards.
- Normal Random Queues will also award Seals of the Dragon in an additional reward slot.
- The Seal of the Dragon store will sell catch-up items directly, including recent Epic gear, weapons, shirts, pants, and Epic artifact armor from Sleeping Gods Lie.
- Advanced Dungeons will require 70,000 Item Level going forward.
- Seals of the Ancient Dragon will be used for older Legendary weapons and gear, up through Red Harvest and Red Harvest II: The Soul Collector.
The goal is to get fresh level 20 characters closer to the 70,000 to 80,000 Item Level range without sending them through a long list of older content first. Cryptic estimates that filling out slots with the updated Normal Queue and Seal of the Dragon rewards should put players near that range, which is where Advanced content starts.
Module 34 also adds a new campaign zone. Players can start it by talking to Sergeant Knox in Protector’s Enclave and picking up the mission “Long Way Down.” The campaign will be accessible regardless of Item Level, and Cryptic recommends starting there after the tutorial if Normal Random Queues feel rough with starter gear.
One currency is also being retired. The Seal of the Spider store is closing to make room for Seal of the Ancient Dragon, and existing Seals of the Spider can be exchanged for Seals of the Dragon at a 3-to-1 rate. The same conversion applies to leftover Seals of the North. Sources that previously awarded or used Seals of the Spider will switch over to Seals of the Dragon.
