Neverwinter Module 34 Preview Adds Reghed Crevasse, New Trial, and Ascendant Mode

Neverwinter’s Module 34 preview is now live on the Mimic and Lurker test shards for PC players, with testing starting October 19, 2026 after maintenance. Feedback is being taken through November 2 at 7:30 AM PT, and the update is currently planned for a mid-November release.

The preview build includes the new Reghed Crevasse adventure zone in Icewind Dale, a skirmish called The Defense of the Mythallar, queue reward changes, and a new trial, The Devourer’s Pit. Since this is a test version, details may still change before launch.

  • The Reghed Crevasse sends players after the Cult of the Elder Elemental Eye, with heroic encounters, gravity device traversal, and a zone mechanic called Madness of the Sleeping God.
  • Madness of the Sleeping God has players fill a meter through zone activities, pick from afflictions with both benefits and drawbacks, and take on hidden rift encounters. Groups of at least three can summon Valkreth the Hollow.
  • The Devourer’s Pit trial opens for preview from October 23 to October 26 in Normal, Advanced, and Master difficulties.
  • Ascendant Mode testing runs October 30 to November 2. It’s a new weekly challenge tier above Master, designed for endgame groups and not expected to be cleared by most players.
  • The Defense of the Mythallar skirmish has players breaking through Netherese defenses, handling traps, and stopping a Harbinger ritual.

Ascendant Mode is the biggest new experiment here. It builds on Master difficulty with higher enemy health and damage, plus rotating weekly modifiers. The developers describe it as intentionally punishing and optional, with rewards tied to a decaying currency spent at Bahamut’s Store in Protector’s Enclave. Completing the full set of Ascendant challenges can also grant an exclusive vanity reward, limited to once per account.

Module 34 also changes queue rewards. Normal Queues are getting more useful drops, including mounts, companions, enchantments, artifacts, neck and waist items, and companion equipment. Seals of the Spider God are being retired, with sources shifting to Seals of the Dragon. Existing Spider God seals can be exchanged at a 3:1 rate. Random Advanced Dungeons will now require 70,000 Item Level, and Seals of the Ancient Dragon will be used for Legendary gear up to Module 32: The Soul Collector.
