ARC Raiders PvE Test Ends After 30 Million Rounds, November Follow-Up Planned
Embark Studios has wrapped up ARC Raiders’ limited-time PvE matchmaking toggle test, and the studio says players completed more than 30 million PvE rounds during the trial.
In an October 20 update, the team said it now needs time to dig through the data and community feedback before deciding what comes next. Embark described the test as “polarizing” on a surface read, and said any decision will be based on the overall health and enjoyability of the game. A follow-up is expected sometime in November.
Players who took part can still share feedback through the PvE-test-feedback channel in the official Discord. Embark is also sending a survey to a representative sample of ARC Raiders players starting October 22. The studio is asking how PvE compared to the usual ARC Raiders experience, what could be improved, and how the standard PvPvE flow changed while the test was live.
The PvE test has been a notable one for ARC Raiders because the game is built around its PvPvE extraction-style loop, where other players are part of the threat alongside AI enemies. A separate PvE queue could change the pace and risk profile quite a bit, which is likely why Embark is taking a cautious approach before committing to anything permanent.
Also on October 20, Embark rolled out Update 2.2, which adds the Wreck Set and includes a number of fixes. Players need to restart the game to download the update.
