NetEase Trademarks ECC: Redline With MMORPG Listed in U.S. Filing

NetEase Interactive Entertainment has filed trademarks for ECC: Redline in the United States and Europe, with the U.S. application specifically mentioning massively multiplayer online role-playing games.

The U.S. filing, submitted September 21, 2026 by NetEase Interactive Entertainment Pte. Ltd. of Singapore, covers online multiplayer games, downloadable and recorded game software for PC and mobile devices, and “providing massively multiplayer online role-playing games.” The application is currently live and pending registration.

Trademark filings are often broad, so this doesn’t confirm that ECC: Redline is a new MMORPG. Still, the explicit MMORPG wording in the U.S. filing is more specific than the more general language used in the European filing, which makes it worth noting.

NetEase already publishes online-focused games including Where Winds Meet, so it’s not a stretch that players may connect the filing to a possible unannounced MMO project. For now, though, there’s no official announcement, trailer, platform list, or release window for ECC: Redline.

Job listings reviewed alongside the trademark didn’t clearly point to a dedicated Redline project either. Until NetEase says more, ECC: Redline is best treated as a trademark signal, not a confirmed game reveal.
