Method Claims World Third Mythic Ula’tek After 409 Pulls

Method has defeated Mythic Ula’tek in World of Warcraft: Midnight, taking World Third in The Venomous Abyss Race to World First. The kill came on September 4 at 15:28 BST, or 7:28 AM PT, after 409 pulls on the raid’s final boss.

That locks in the top three for Mythic The Venomous Abyss. Team Liquid claimed World First on September 3, with Echo following later the same day for World Second. Method’s kill came roughly a day later, after a steady string of deeper Phase 3 attempts.

  • Liquid, US: 8/8
  • Echo, EU: 8/8
  • Method, EU: 8/8
  • 中洲队, CN: 7/8, with a 65.5% Phase 2 best
  • Instant Dollars, US: 6/8, with a 2.96% Phase 3 best on The Coiled Altar

Method’s final Ula’tek pull count landed at 409, with the raid sitting at an average item level of 325.6 at the time of the kill. Earlier on September 4, the team pushed its best attempt from 11.7% in Phase 3 to 9.14% on pull 373, then down to 2.41% on pull 388 before finishing the fight 21 pulls later.

With Ula’tek dead, Method closes out the traditional podium for this tier’s Race to World First. The race is still ongoing for other guilds working through the back end of Mythic The Venomous Abyss, but the top spots are now set.
