Warframe’s Iceblade of Narin Update Arrives September 23 With a New Frame and Six-Player Missions

Warframe’s next major update, Iceblade of Narin, launches September 23 on all platforms. Digital Extremes detailed the update during Devstream 197 from TennoVIP: Seoul, confirming the new Warframe Narin, a fresh social space on Earth, six-player missions, Citrine Prime, and several system changes.

The update centers on Yuvan Peak, a new Relay set on the dark side of Earth. That’s where players will find Narin’s Crest and the icy sword tied to the new frame. Narin is described as a sword dancer who uses ice for healing and defense, alongside rapier-style attacks. Her signature weapons include the Nunchasa bow and Aksondol dual ice pistols.

  • Glacial Defiance is a new mode for up to six Tenno, aimed at veteran squads. Weekly Cryobells from Yuvan Peak add extra rewards and squad-wide modifiers.
  • Melica’s Lab opens aboard the Zariman Ten Zero, bringing new Entropic Eximus enemies. They can drop Entropic Kuva, which is used to trade with Cephalon Melica for rewards, including Narin blueprints.
  • Banshee is getting a rework focused on stronger ability synergy, better survivability, and quality-of-life improvements. Players who log in from September 23 to October 7 can claim Banshee for free, along with a built Forma.
  • Citrine Prime Access launches the same day, with Citrine Prime, the Steflos Prime shotgun, Corufell Prime scythe, and Prime cosmetic accessories. Citrine Prime can also be earned through gameplay and crafting.
  • Riven rerolls are changing. Players will be able to preserve specific Riven traits using Kuva, while Riven Splicers can combine two traits into a new one through the Orbiter’s Mod Segment.

Digital Extremes also dated Epoch Operation: Taubound, a limited-time community event running October 15 through November 17. Players who have completed The Hex and The Old Peace can fully participate, while anyone who has finished Vor’s Prize can still earn event-exclusive rewards. The event has players collecting Moonflesh on Eris to help open the path toward Warframe: Tau later this year.

Warframe is also coming to the Samsung Galaxy Store on September 23. That version will include limited-time login rewards, including the Valentine Color Picker and Manegarmr Ephemera.
