MapleStory M Revamps Union Stats and Adds Open Job Advancement
Nexon has rolled out a new MapleStory M update that reworks Union stat progression, adds Open Job Advancement for high-level characters, and makes several quality-of-life changes across the mobile MMORPG.
The biggest change is to the Union system. Instead of gaining Union stats by filling spaces on the combat map grid, players now allocate points directly into the stats they want. It should make the system easier to manage, especially for players juggling multiple characters.
- Open Job Advancement is now available for characters level 200 and above, letting them switch to another job.
- Characters that change jobs receive rented equipment matched to the new job’s stats, with power equivalent to their previous gear.
- A new Combat Power Guide shows which bosses a character can access based on Combat Power, along with ways to raise it.
- Pocket Slots are now permanently unlocked.
- Buff Freezers have been removed.
- Players can bulk craft Soul items, hold more Sol Erda, and use expanded default inventory and storage space.
Nexon is also lining up several events. Exciting Super Week runs from September 24 through October 5, with a new Hot Time event tied to Magnificent Souls and improving Level 5 or higher HEXA Main Stats.
Starting October 1, Nexon will begin rolling out 10th anniversary events, including a 10th Anniversary Shop and a 10th Anniversary Countdown Check-in Event. Lady Blair’s Dream Express also returns from October 1 to November 11, giving players a window to move outfit cosmetics, pets, mounts, and similar items to other characters in the same world.
