Mabinogi October update improves VIP perks and starts Samhain event

Mabinogi’s October quality-of-life update is live after the October 15 maintenance, bringing a round of VIP Service improvements, new backup options for settings, shop changes, and the return of the Cycle of Samhain event.

The Samhain event runs from October 15 after maintenance through November 12 before maintenance. Players can visit Leath, the black cat in Dunbarton Library, to start the event quests. Only one character can be set as the event’s main character, so pick carefully.

  • Basic VIP Service now gives three uses per Erinn day for remote Repair, Shop, and Bank services, up from one.
  • Campfire item burning gives 3x EXP for Basic VIP users, while quest completion EXP rises to 100% bonus.
  • The weekly rebirth Age Potion box now covers ages 9 to 20, and Dressing Room item retrieval fees are removed for Basic VIP.
  • Advanced Play Boxes have had their daily contents adjusted, with some items removed and others added.
  • A new Import/Export option lets players back up certain settings, including hotbars, skill arrays, UI layout, hotkeys, and some character info.
  • Taillteann Farm Collection Goals are no longer seasonal ahead of Life Season 2. Season Life Goals will still reset.
  • Glenn Bearna Dungeon now requires Total Combat Skill Level 1500 or higher, including for the related story quest prerequisite.

The Cycle of Samhain event adds daily and story quests, with daily quests resetting at 7:00 AM server time. Trickster’s Mini-Games begin in week two, starting October 22 after maintenance, and include Repeat After Me, Red Light Green Light, The Great Pumpkin Hunt, and Watch Your Step. Players can earn a reward from the mini-games once per day during the event period.

Elsewhere in the update, the Tara Auction House has been refreshed with item and bid changes, the Title Menu now has better search and sorting tools, and new second title coupons tied to Erinn Spirits have been added. Those titles can be bought from Eavan’s Shop in Dunbarton for 30 Erinn Essence each, and Erinn Spirits can now drop from end chests in several Hard Tech Duinn missions.

A few shops also picked up new stock. Soraia’s Shop at Poulnabrone now sells one-hour Music Boost and Attack Delay Reduction potions, while Briddie’s Shop in Port Cobh now offers Precise Reforging Tools and Chat Sticker Selection Boxes.
