The First Descendant 1.4.5 adds Onslaught Stage 5, a new Trials dungeon, and Halloween events

The First Descendant update 1.4.5 is now available on Steam, Xbox, and PS5, bringing a new endgame Onslaught stage, a second Trials dungeon, and another Transcendent Weapon to chase.

The big addition is Onslaught Stage 5, which unlocks after clearing Stage 4 once. It runs six waves and ends with a Colossus, while the Tyrant now pushes toward the Energy Concentration Point and can drain energy if it gets through. Public Operations require 93,300 Arche Activity, though Private Operations can still be started below that number.

  • Onslaught Stage 5 can drop Transcendent Weapon Loot, including quality 301-400 weapons. The mission completion reward lists Transcendent Weapon Loot at 10.7%, with low drop chances also tied to certain monster kills.
  • Trials now has two dungeons: Protocol 001 with the Order of Truth and Protocol 002 with the Legion of Immortality. The active dungeon rotates daily at 00:00 PDT.
  • The new Transcendent Weapon is Monster Hunter, an Assault Rifle using General Rounds. Its effects focus on Colossus damage, critical hits, chain explosions, and ricochet damage against nearby enemies.
  • A daily +15% Transcendent Weapon acquisition boost now applies to selected zones and activities, including Onslaught, Trials, Sigma Sector, Void Vessel, and several infiltration-style missions.
  • Freyna, Gley, and Enzo have received balance changes. Freyna’s kit in particular has been heavily adjusted around toxic damage, Active Camouflage, and Catalyst Zone effects.

The update also starts the Halloween Pass, available from after the Oct. 15, 2026 update until Nov. 16 at 22:59 PST. It has 30 levels, free rewards at select tiers, paid premium upgrade options using Caliber, and rewards including the Little Red Riding Hood Costume and Big Bad Wolf Mask.

Several limited-time events are live alongside the patch. The Tactician Medical Support login event runs until Nov. 23, while Descendant Overhaul missions, the Battlefield Monster Hunter boost event, and Accelerate Research events run until Nov. 16. A weekend boost event also runs Fridays through Sundays from Oct. 16 to Nov. 15, adding bonuses to EXP, Gold, Kuiper Shards, and related activities.
