LOTRO’s Rivendell housing is coming this spring, alongside Update 47.2 fixes

The Lord of the Rings Online is getting a new premium housing neighborhood in Rivendell this spring. Standing Stone Games said the area is being built with a smaller, cozier layout than some of the game’s other housing zones, with Rivendell chosen after the team looked at several possible Elven locations.

That detail comes from an interview with MMORPG.com, where senior world designer Matt Elliot said the team considered places like Lothlorien, Mirkwood, Felagoth, and Loeglond before landing on Rivendell.

Separate from the housing news, LOTRO also got a smaller patch this week with Update 47.2. According to the official patch notes, the update includes fixes for parts of the Spring Festival, addresses issues in the new Folly of Nagakhêdi raid, and makes a couple of adjustments to the Warden.

There’s not much else confirmed yet about Rivendell housing beyond the spring release window and the general direction for the neighborhood. Still, for players who’ve been waiting for an Elven housing option, Rivendell is now the one on deck.
