LOTRO’s Multi-Month VIP Price Increase Now Starts October 14
Standing Stone Games has set a new date for The Lord of the Rings Online’s delayed VIP subscription price change. The higher multi-month VIP rates will now take effect on October 14, 2026.
The standard monthly VIP price is staying at $14.99. The increase only affects longer plans. In the U.S., three months will rise from $29.97 to $41.97, six months from $59.94 to $77.94, and twelve months from $99.99 to $143.88. Other regions are getting matching adjustments, with full regional pricing listed in LOTRO’s official news post.
There’s one important exception for current subscribers. Players who are subscribed on or before October 13, 2026 will keep their existing multi-month rates through at least December 31, 2027, according to Standing Stone. That grandfathering applies as long as the eligible subscription remains active.
The price hike was first planned for July, but Daybreak and Standing Stone delayed it while they worked on subscription infrastructure. If a player on a grandfathered plan runs into renewal problems, the studio says they should contact Customer Support.
