The First Descendant Update 1.4.3 Adds Ultimate Hailey and a New Dungeon

Posted on by

Nexon has released The First Descendant update 1.4.3 on Steam, Xbox, and PS5, with patch notes dated September 16 and follow-up edits added on September 17.

The main addition is Cradle of Evolution, a new dungeon that unlocks at Mastery Rank 18. Players can enter through Albion’s Tactical Transport Control NPC or from the World Map. Each run starts in a random location across eight combat zones, and clearing four zones opens the Commander fight against Separated Tarvos.

The dungeon also brings a couple of encounter mechanics. Vulgus Bombardment adds destroyable Vulgus Shells, while Accelerate Extraction uses Energy Condenser lasers during combat. Nexon also added more Cradle details in its September 17 note updates.

Ultimate Hailey is the other big piece of the patch. Her exclusive Transcendent Modules, Dangerous Distance and Extreme Strike, are both listed as Cradle of Evolution drops with a 17.1% chance. The Amorphous Material Pattern: Ultimate Hailey, used for her research blueprint, is also tied to the mission at a listed 25.7% drop chance.

Beyond the headline additions, update 1.4.3 expands Lounge Storage Trade and Transcendent Weapon trading for high-tier gear. It also includes shop bundles, Descendant balance changes, content improvements, Hard Infiltration drop adjustments, and a longer round of bug fixes.
