Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5 launches August 26 with Astropolis, new 5-stars, and faster story dialogue
Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.5, “To Roll the Stars in Astropolis,” launches on August 26, 2026, HoYoverse announced. The update sends the Trailblazer to Astropolis, a major Interastral Peace Corporation stronghold, as Planarcadia deals with a new crisis tied to the Voracity.
The new chapter is framed as both a political stop inside IPC territory and a summer trip with Robin and Aventurine. Astropolis is described as a vacation hub for IPC workers, executives, and other high-status travelers, though the story also puts the Trailblazer in the middle of the company’s internal power structure.
Version 4.5 adds Robin Summeretto as a limited 5-star Wind character on the Path of Remembrance. Her kit focuses on team buffs that build through allies taking action, with Vibes leading into Fever Pitch. Her Ultimate can also let a chosen teammate act immediately and recover Energy.
Robin Summeretto arrives in the first half of the update alongside her limited 5-star Light Cone, “Rise and Sing.” Hyacine also gets a rerun during that phase, and the 4-star Light Cone “A Little Getaway” joins Event Warps.
Aventurine Waveflair arrives in the second half starting September 12. He’s a limited 5-star Quantum character on the Path of Elation, with attacks themed around beach volleyball and surfing. His combat loop builds Punchline and Fervor through actions, triggering extra Elation Skill attacks when enough Fervor is gained. His limited 5-star Light Cone, “Summer Rides the Surf,” will be featured, while Ashveil gets a rerun.
The update also brings the racing event “Overdrive: Whirlwind Grand Prix,” where the Trailblazer acts as a team principal, plus the stage challenge event “Minuscule Great Adventure.” Divergent Universe is getting a gameplay update, and the usual double-drop events “Planar Fissure” and “Realm of the Strange” will return.
One smaller but useful change: starting in Version 4.5, players can speed up story dialogue and toggle the option on or off during dialogue scenes.
HoYoverse also confirmed a MOONDROP collaboration featuring Sparxie-themed products and online and offline events across multiple regions. A Honkai: Star Rail collaboration with Zenless Zone Zero is planned for later this year, with more details still to come.
