Fractured Conquest War Playtest Ends With Thorn Victory, Next Test Details Coming Soon
Fractured Conquest has wrapped up its latest 24-hour playtest, this time focused on war. The September test followed a summer session that introduced early siege mechanics, giving the team a full day of player data around conflict, coordination, and faction logistics.
Not every planned tool was available. The developers said several build and destroy mechanics were still missing from this test, but those are expected to be included in the next playtest. Details on that next round are due sometime within the next month.
The winning side this time was the Thorn, which the team said pulled ahead through organized building and supply work rather than just fighting. That seems to be the direction Fractured Conquest is aiming for: social PvP where planning, construction, and group movement matter as much as raw combat.
The update also showed off some current art and design work. The Thorn are getting war constructs with a machine-made golem look, including concept art and a 3D model with patterned detailing. The Wardens, meanwhile, are leaning into darker metalwork and heavier weapons, with the team settling on a single cleaver after testing a few options.
There’s also a look at The Order’s minion, built around blue glass-like armor with metal framing, plus the War Wagon, a reinforced transport meant to carry material crates and support a mounted ballista. The wagon model also hints at a new class, though the studio didn’t give full details yet.
Game director Duncan summed up the goal as bringing back “a bit of old Fractured” along with social PvP, while continuing to build the game with player feedback.
