Final Fantasy XIV’s Moogle Treasure Trove returns September 9 with a new mount
Final Fantasy XIV’s Moogle Treasure Trove is coming back on September 9, 2026, this time as the First Hunt for Astronomy. The event runs until October 19 at 7:59 a.m. PDT and is the first half of a two-part Treasure Trove event tied to the upcoming Evercold expansion.
The main chase reward is the new uolon horn mount. It costs 100 Irregular Tomestones of Astronomy I plus 10 uolon horn tokens. Square Enix says the later Second Hunt for Astronomy will have a different reward lineup and a different tomestone type, but uolon horn tokens earned during the First Hunt will still count toward the mount when the second phase arrives.
- Players start by speaking to an itinerant moogle to get the Mogpendium.
- Irregular tomestones come from marked duties, GATEs, ocean fishing with at least 2,000 points, weekly Mogpendium objectives, minimog challenges, and ultimog challenges.
- Ultimog challenges grant 5 uolon horn tokens during the event.
- Minimog challenges can grant up to 1 uolon horn token per week.
- Weekly objectives and minimog challenges reset every Tuesday at 1:00 a.m. PDT.
- Tomestones won’t be awarded through adventurer squadrons or Duty Support, and unrestricted parties need Level Sync enabled.
Some rewards go straight to your inventory, but weekly, minimog, and ultimog rewards have to be claimed manually through the Mogpendium. Those claims will remain available until after Patch 8.05, while item exchanges will stay open until Patch 8.1.
Other listed exchange rewards include the Mameshiba Neckerchief for 50 tomestones, Ramuh Crystal for 50, The Legendary Beast Orchestrion Roll for 50, and the Hallowed Kamuy Fife for 30, along with various attire pieces, minions, and maps. Patch 7.56, which includes Beastmaster and the second part of the main scenario update, is still scheduled separately for September 8.
