Final Fantasy XI’s Doll Festival returns February 26 with the Festival Dial rewards

Final Fantasy XI is bringing back its Doll Festival on February 26, and Square Enix is once again tying it to the Festival Dial, a limited-time Gobbie Mystery Box option that can spit out extra loot during the event.

According to the official post, the Festival Dial is essentially a special dial for the Gobbie Mystery Box that offers random spoils pulled from high-tier battlefields, but only while the holiday event is running.

So, yes, you can still do the usual Doll Festival stuff like grabbing event items (the post calls out dolls and an Eastern Umbrella), but now there’s also a reason to swing by the Mystery Box if you’re hoping to roll something useful.

Square Enix hasn’t laid out a big slate of other changes here. The main “new” angle is that the Festival Dial setup that showed up in recent holiday events is sticking around for this one too.

While Final Fantasy XIV gets most of the attention in the MMO universe, Final Fantasy XI still remainly queitly popular and even added new servers last year.
