EverQuest Legends Is Live, With Kerran, 4K UI Scaling, and a Roadmap Coming
EverQuest Legends has officially launched, giving players a new way back into 1999-era EverQuest with some modern changes layered on top. Servers opened at noon PDT, and the team is letting players in gradually to avoid hammering the launch infrastructure all at once.
That means queues are possible. In a producer’s letter, executive producer David “Sysyphus” Youssefi said demand has been higher than expected, and the team is watching server load with the option to add capacity if needed.
A few launch features also made it in just under the wire. The Kerran are playable, 4K UI scaling is included, and the team has now shared the full San Diego Comic-Con panel where it first talked through those additions and teased what’s next.
For players jumping in, Daybreak has posted a getting started guide covering the basics. A roadmap is also on the way, though it wasn’t live on the official site when the launch post went up.
EverQuest Legends is being pitched as a familiar but adjusted take on classic EverQuest, including changes meant to make the old-school MMO easier to approach today, especially for players who don’t always have a full group ready to go.
