Elder Scrolls Online brings back Writhing Wall Phase 3 for Content Pass 2025 owners until Jan. 28
Zenimax Online Studios has brought back Phase 3 of Elder Scrolls Online’s Battle for the Writhing Wall for a limited rerun. The server-wide event phase is live now and runs until January 28, and it’s only available to players who own the Content Pass 2025.
Phase 3 is the part of the original Writhing Wall event where players across an entire server needed to head into a dungeon, defeat enemies, and collectively work toward bringing down the Wall to move the story forward. All servers have already completed the event since its first run last fall, meaning the related story progression is already unlocked, but this rerun is meant to let players experience the phase again.
The initial run of Phase 3 drew frustration due to bugs and other issues that made it hard to play. Zenimax addressed and fixed problems during the event, but not before some servers had already pushed through the roughest parts. The studio later said it would do a “do-over” so players could get a cleaner shot at the full experience.
Based on the relaunch details, this rerun doesn’t add major new changes beyond the fixes that were made back in November. It’s also strictly Phase 3 coming back. Phases 1 and 2, including their quests, combat beats, and rewards, aren’t returning with this one-week window.
Separately, Zenimax also kicked off the Whitestrake’s Mayhem event today, which boosts rewards for players jumping into ESO’s PvP modes.
