Black Desert Online Wraps PvP Balance Pass, Adds Arena of Solare AFK Penalties
Black Desert Online’s latest patch closes out Pearl Abyss’ current round of PvP balance changes, landing in time for the second half of the ongoing Arena of Solare season. The studio says it’ll keep watching PvP balance from here, but the next major focus shifts to PvE adjustments starting next month.
The update also adds a stricter penalty system for Arena of Solare players who go AFK. A first offense gets a warning, while a second brings a 24-hour matchmaking restriction, a deserter penalty, and no rewards. Repeat offenses can scale up to a 30-day restriction. Records reset at the end of the season.
- Find My Item has been adjusted as part of ongoing quality-of-life work.
- Large ships now face less punishing overload conditions.
- Item stacking changes should help clear up inventory and storage space.
- Central Market prices have been adjusted for items where crafting or acquisition costs no longer matched the market value, including Energy Potions.
- Altar of Blood: The 2nd Abyssal Illusion has been added, with first-time clear rewards and a harder setup now that devices showing spawn locations have been removed.
The PvP timing is the notable part here. Pearl Abyss had previously avoided making this kind of balance pass after an Arena of Solare season had already started, but changed course for this season. If you’re pushing ranked matches, it’s worth checking your class changes before jumping back in.
