Black Desert Online updates guild crafting, skills, and makes the Guild Galley easier to unlock

Black Desert Online’s latest update is aimed squarely at guild quality-of-life, with changes to guild crafting, a rework to Guild Skills, and a simpler path to getting a Guild Galley. The patch also includes quest tweaks for Olvia Academy and an overhaul to how mount growth EXP is handled.

On the crafting side, Pearl Abyss is trying to spread the workload around. Guild recipes have been reduced and some recipe materials have been converted into shared items, so one player is less likely to end up farming everything or buying it all off the market. As part of that shift, some items that used to be guild-crafted will now be obtained in other ways.

Guild Skills have also been reorganized to make the system easier to understand. Some skills were merged, certain requirements were removed, and point requirements were lowered in places, while some effects were increased. All guild skills were reset with this update, and any spent points were refunded so guilds can reassign them under the new setup. There’s also a Guild Buffs window change that lets you see any Node War benefits currently applied.

For sailing-focused guilds, the Guild Galley should be less of a hassle to start. The Amity requirement with the Port Epheria NPC has been removed, meaning you can buy the blueprint piece without that extra step. The Galley’s exclusive equipment also has reduced upgrade requirements, which should speed up progression once you’ve got the ship.

Outside of guilds, the mount growth system now stores mount EXP in a separate pool, letting you apply it when you’re ready instead of worrying about timing. The full breakdown is in the patch notes.
