Albion Online’s Dragonfire Patch 2 Raises Loot and Reworks Maeve
Albion Online’s Dragonfire Patch 2 went live on September 23, 2026, and the main draw is better loot from several Dragonfire activities. Sandbox Interactive has also reworked the Maeve encounter in the Dragon Sanctuary, aiming to cut down on swingy fight behavior and some cheese strategies.
The biggest loot changes hit Ancient Lands, the Dragon Sanctuary, and Outlands Dragon Attack chests. Medium Ancient Lands chests now give about 50% more non-Drake loot, while Large Ancient Lands base chest loot is up by roughly 140%. Dragon Sanctuary base chests are up around 100% on average, and the final chest now has a much higher chance to drop a Drake Egg, increased by about 400%.
- Outlands Dragon Attack chests now have roughly doubled base loot.
- Fame from Dragon Attacks is now paid out with Might instead of coming from non-tradable Tomes in the chest.
- New Dragon item drop rates, including Dragon Armor pieces, have not changed.
- Orange-zone Ancient Lands now freeze inventory items on portal entry, so those items don’t drop on death. Loot picked up inside still can.
- Island chests outside the center island now unlock only after the island quest is completed.
Maeve’s fight has been shuffled around rather than simply nerfed. Storm Spire now appears at 60% health instead of 80%, Rock Spike moves to 80%, and Double Rock Spike starts at 40%. Realm Rift can stack much higher, up to 15 stacks, but its debuff duration has been cut from 3000 seconds to 100 seconds.
Several Maeve attacks have been adjusted too. Boulder Stomp shockwaves are slower and deal less initial damage, but they now apply a stacking debuff that makes later stomps hit harder. Primal Dragon Flame shifts some true damage into normal damage, Rock Spike’s area is slightly smaller, Boulder Charge damage is down, and Maeve won’t chase quite as far.
Elsewhere, the Dragon Sanctuary’s Lingering Dragon Spirit buff has been toned down, and Azaryon will now enrage if players repeatedly soft-lock or cheese the encounter. Conqueror’s Hall also added Season 33 winner statues for Upside, Contingent, and I The Flying Dutchman I.
Outside the Dragonfire changes, the patch adds Loadout sharing, clipboard import, Leyfin fish as Laborer Journal rewards, a minimap ping when Tracking targets are nearby, and several combat tweaks affecting Holy Flash, Spectral Trident, Internal Bleeding, and Knight Helmet.
