Albion Online hits Xbox Series X|S on April 21 with cross-progression across all platforms
Albion Online is coming to Xbox Series X|S on April 21. The MMO is already available on PC and mobile, and the Xbox version will plug into the same live game rather than a separate console server.
That means full cross-platform play and cross-progression across PC, mobile, and Xbox. Existing players can use the same account and characters on console, while new Xbox players can jump in without making a separate Albion account if they don’t care about moving between platforms.
Sandbox Interactive says the Xbox launch also comes with a batch of controller-focused changes, including updates to button layouts, targeting, UI navigation, and radial menus. According to the official post, those controller improvements are also coming to PC and mobile players who use a gamepad.
The timing is notable since the game just rolled out its Radiant Wilds update, and now Sandbox is shifting to platform expansion. For players who’ve been waiting on a console version, this is the first time Albion Online‘s full-loot sandbox MMO has been officially available on Xbox.
