AdventureQuest 3D Adds Greenguard Regional Loot and Reworks Several Classes

Posted on by

AdventureQuest 3D’s October 15 update continues the Regional Loot rollout, this time adding a Greenguard Cloth Set that can drop from any monster in Greenguard maps. The set comes in four colors and drops at the player’s level, so it’s meant to help newer characters gear up while giving longtime players another cosmetic chase. Artix says a Greenguard plate set is planned for next week.

The patch also makes several class balance changes, with Oracle taking the biggest hit. Cosmic Reverberation now has a 3-minute cooldown instead of 20 seconds, lasts 10 seconds, and uses 10 stacks that are consumed when the target takes player damage. Bad Omen’s Protection debuff has also been reduced, and Threads of Fate now deals flat damage based on Attack Power instead of percent HP damage.

  • Samurai’s Wind Cutter and Tempest Flip stance-swap cooldown has been raised from 1 second to 10 seconds, cutting down on how easily the class can avoid monster attacks.
  • Ranger’s Empowered Shot now deals 20% more damage.
  • Rogue’s Poison Strike now hits in a small cone and can apply poison to multiple enemies, though players still need to be close for it to connect.
  • Healer has been renamed Priest, since “healer” is now being treated more as a role than a class name. Priest also gets Wave of Light, a new skill that heals up to five allies and damages up to five enemies in its path.

More class work is coming, with Moglomancer, Paladin, Ninja, and others under review for buffs and quality-of-life changes.

Elsewhere in the update, Mythic Mortis and his minions have been adjusted so they no longer scale with the number of players, and an out-of-bounds ranged exploit in the boss room has been patched. Mogloween additions include a Chibi Prince of Darkness pet, Broomstick Mounts in the Premium Travel Shop, new Pumpkin Smasher variants in the Limited Time Shop, and a Black Regal Halo in the Daily Boss Regal Halo shop.

Players can also buy more bag space now. The purchase cap has been expanded by 500 slots, with bag space sold from the inventory screen in packs of 1 or 10 slots at 200 Dragon Crystals per slot. The update also adds the $99.99 Umbral Ascendant package, which includes 52,500 Dragon Crystals, wings, and an in-game title.
